Restylane Vital™

Revolutionary skin rehydration from within…

As we age, the quality of the skin changes. This has to do with the biological clock but also with lifestyle factors such as sun exposure. Collagen and elastic fibers are degraded, and the quality of the body's own hyaluronic acid is reduced. This results in decreased elasticity, increased roughness and dryness of the skin.
While creams pamper your skin on the surface, Restylane Vital™ will take care of your skin from within. A Restylane Vital treatment involves the injection of small amounts of stabilized hyaluronic acid into the skin, this restores the hydrobalance and improves the skin’s structure.
Research at the University of Hamburg, Germany, has shown that Restylane Vital reduces several signs of skin aging. The elasticity of the skin is significantly improved and the roughness is decreased. The improvements are measurable as well as visible to the eye. All women in the study reported that their expectations were met and 85% of them rated Restylane Vital as “very good” or “good”. For a successful result it is important to use a stabilized hyaluronic acid to ensure a long-lasting effect.

Unlike many skin rejuvenation products, Restylane Vital is free of additives and is produced from a non-animal source. This results in a safe and natural treatment. Restylane products have been safely used in 10 million treatments worldwide.

Restylane Vital™ is the latest development in skin rejuvenation. It improves the hydrobalance and elasticity of the skin and the skin looks and feels smoother. It is perfect for difficult-to-treat areas, such as the backs of hands, neck or décolletage, as well as the face. Restylane Vital improve the skin from within and creates a fresh tone and healthy look.
The benefits of a Restylane Vital treatment generally last for several months and can be maintained by a repeated treatment once or twice a year. However, there are no restrictions on how often you can be treated. A Restylane Vital treatment program represents a modern, innovative and exciting addition to your everyday beauty regimen.

  • Fast – A procedure takes about 30 minutes
  • Simple – Minimal downtime
  • Freedom of choice – Long lasting but not permanent
  • Safe – Natural and safe with a low risk of adverse events

Complete – Ideal for difficult-to-treat areas, such as the backs of hands, neck or décolletage, as well as the face.

Costs depend on the area to be treated and how much Restylane Vital is required. A course of three treatments are recommended and are priced for the full three.  For example treating the back of the hands or the neck area for a full treatment is $1000. However, prices are based on individual requirements and we are always happy to see you for a consultation to discuss your needs.

Restylane® mandatory
Restylane® is a Prescription Medicine for the treatment of facial tissue augmentation.  Its use is recommended in the correction of wrinkles and lip enhancement.

Do not inject this medicine intravascularly as there is a potential risk of rarely leading to vascular occlusion with transient impairment of vision, transient ischaemia or even necrosis.  Do not use in patients with bleeding disorder or patients who have undergone therapy with thrombolytics, anticoagulants, or inhibitors of platelet aggregation in the preceding 2 weeks.

Like any such procedure, the implantation of Restylane® is associated with an inherent risk of infection. Restylane® should not be used in or near anatomic sites where there is active skin disease, inflammation or related conditions.

Patients using substances that may affect platelet function, such as aspirin and NSAIDs, may experience increased bruising or bleeding at injection sites.

Restylane should not be injected into an area where a permanent implant has been placed. The patient should not be exposed to extreme heat or cold until the initial swelling and redness have resolved. It should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women or in children.

Common injection-related side effects such as erythema, swelling, pain, itching or tenderness at the implant site may occur.  Resolution of these effects is normally spontaneous from a few days after injection into the skin to a week after injection into the lips. Additional, temporary palpable lumpiness has also been noted in some patients.

Other rare side effects such as biopsy proven granuloma formulation, necrosis or persistent discolouration have occurred. There have also been isolated cases of oedema and urticaria reported.

Administration of Restylane should be as per the detailed instructions on the datasheet for the various formulations.

Note: After the first treatment, additional implantations of Restylane may be necessary to achieve the desired level of correction.  Times may vary from 6 months to a year.
Restylane is an unfunded medicine.  A charge for the medicine will be made in the itemised cost of the consultation.
